I want to love you once again
Couldn't you love me too
Don't turn away from all that we've been thru
Everyone changes, be my friend
Haven't you got the time
Help me I need you, throw me down a line

- Olivia Newton-John

The Beaver Trilogy is a series of three short films on the same subject, shot over the course of 6 years: The Beaver Kid (1979), Beaver Kid 2 (1981), The Orkly Kid (1985). The films document and then recreate (with a young Sean Penn) and recreate again (with a young Crispin Glover), the chance encounter between director Trent Harris and performer/impersonator/Union Pacific Railroad worker Groovin’ Gary in Salt Lake City, 1979.

★   HERE'S WHAT OUR AUDIENCE IS SAYING ABOUT THE BEAVER TRILOGY    ★

“A transcendent meditation on narrative!”
- Sandra Powers

“It would be a masterpiece if I weren't in it”
- Sean Pehn

“I knew this was an all time top ten before it was even over. It did for my movie brain what acid did for my…uh…not movie brain”
- Anthony Oberbeck (Hulu's Shrill)

“A great way to showcase Beaver!”
- Utah Resident

“The only thing better than one Beaver Kid is three Beaver Kids plus Olivia Neutron Bomb and Merle.”
- Jed Lackritz

“The ending was redeeming on a level I didn't know I could hope for.”
- Sasha Isaac-Young

“Much like Trent Harris’s chance encounter with Groovin’ Gary in a parking lot, I once saw Crispin Glover standing in the women’s underwear aisle of the 99 Cents Only on Sunset Boulevard. Sometimes, the universe puts you right where it needs you.”
- Megan Koester

“Hypter-luminous, reality-shifting entertainment! I laughed my socks off, and now I have no socks left.”
- Timur

“The power of this triune film overwhelmed me to the point that I was singing karaoke for the first time in my life, with a Dutchwoman.”
- ttrager

“The event was amazing! Crispen, the film, both amazing in their own right, and together greater than the sum of its parts.  Analogous to a panorama with 3D elements, but with those elements reflecting back into a funhouse mirror to infinity.”
- Philup Weil, Stringed Crane Conservatory
