To praise the release of Ana Caravelle's latest album "Benthic," join us in the gardens and theatre for performances and palaver by Ana Caravelle, Alina Bea, & Simon/Mohr.

Ana Caravelle (aka Anahita Navab) is a composer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist. Ana takes inspiration from themes and patterns she finds in nature and that of the human condition. Her delicately crafted harp and vocal songs serve as lush arrangements for simple and persistent themes she finds in her work, frequently collaborating with her partner Ryan York in exploring new sounds and concepts in the genre of experimental folk. Her sophomore record entitled 'Benthic' will be available mid summer 2014.

Simon / Mohr Duo - Brian Allen Simon, aka Anenon, is an artist and the founder of the Non Projects record label. Constantly shedding the non-essential in search of a deep and individualized core, Brian’s music feels potent and refined, yet still raw. His work reaches audiences through speakers and venues where music is given serious consideration. An experimental artist using contemporary tools, Brian mines the intersection of electronics, jazz, improvisation and spiritual atmospherics. He is a native of Los Angeles.Simon has performed internationally throughout Japan, Europe and North America, sharing the stage with the likes of Morton Subotnick, Julia Holter, Laurel Halo, Baths and many more. He is a distinguished entrant of the 2011 Red Bull Music Academy. Anenon’s releases have all been subject to critical acclaim, including a spot for Acquiescence as one of XLR8R’s Best Releases of 2012. His second full length LP Sagrada is due out in September, 2014.

Jon-Kyle Mohr is a multi-disciplinary artist working between the lines of web development, programming, lights, visuals, music and sound. He is a frequent collaborator of Simon both sonically and visually for live Anenon performances.
